The Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. is currently hosting a poignant exhibit titled “Descent from the Cross,” which serves as a powerful reminder of the lent and easter season’s significance and features 21 works of art that will be on display through May 5.

A recent survey conducted by Lifeway Research has revealed the most effective methods used by U.S. Protestant churches to make guests feel welcome. The survey, which included responses from 1,003 Protestant pastors and was conducted from August 8 to September 3, 2024, found that having greeters at entrances and offering the opportunity to meet the pastor after services were the most popular practices, each supported by 91% of the pastors.

American church-planting missionary Pastor Josh Sullivan was abducted by an assailant at gunpoint during a prayer meeting at Fellowship Baptist Church in Motherwell, South Africa, last Thursday. Police stated, “It is alleged that while a sermon was conducted at the church, four armed and masked male suspects entered the church.” They reportedly stole two cell phones before taking the pastor with them and fleeing the scene.

The Missional AI 2025 summit welcomed over 500 participants from more than 100 organizations across 30 countries last week at One Community Church’s Plano campus in this Dallas suburb. Themed “AI Collision — Shaping the Future Together,” the three-day conference brought together AI professionals, church leaders, and mission advocates to discuss ethical AI, theology, technology, and AI’s role in the Church.

A coalition of faith groups, including the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, has urged Russia to return nearly 20,000 Ukrainian children taken since the onset of its invasion of Ukraine. The initiative was led by Myal Greene, president of World Relief, an evangelical humanitarian organization associated with the National Association of Evangelicals.
